HBMC's style is open and consultative from the outset - beginning with the terms of a consultancy assignment. The relationship with the client is built on trust - so we hope you'll agree that these promises are a meaningful basis on which to start working together.

1.         To provide our client with a clear written proposal identifying the objectives, activities and costs (or cost basis) for the proposed project. In the event of subsequent material changes being required, HBMC would submit a revised project proposal to the client for their acceptance.

2.         To undertake diligently, impartially and honestly the work of any project, ensuring a highly professional standard of work at all times.  The consultancy seeks to deliver work of practical, measurable and up-to-date value.

3.         To respect confidential information concerning our client's activities. The consultancy would neither disclose (or permit the disclosure of) nor use to the consultancy's advantage, any confidential information without our client's permission.

4.         To accept only those projects which the consultancy is qualified and able to carry out. Should associates or sub-contractors be engaged to assist with the project, HBMC makes every effort to ensure that their qualifications and experience are appropriate to undertake the work.

5.         To accept full responsibility for maintaining effective communications with the client. This includes supplying appropriate written reports and documentation, as defined in the project proposal.  The consultancy is committed to regular reviews of progress with the client in order to agree priorities, schedules and/or tasks.

6.         To seek actively feedback from the client (and where appropriate other stakeholders) on both the process and the outcomes of each consultancy exercise.  The consultancy is strongly committed to learning and continuous improvement in all areas of its activities.

7.         To disclose to our client any personal or financial interest or other significant circumstances which might influence the work, if this had not already been made explicit or implied in the project proposal.

8.         In the event of a project falling outside the values of the consultancy, to share such concerns with the client without delay. No fee would be charged in such circumstances.

9.         When the project is supported by external funding, to abide by the conditions of the funding body, thus enabling the client to gain full advantage of the funding available.

10.       To comply with relevant client policies (e.g. Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance, Community Social Responsibility, Equal Opportunities).

11.       To refrain from inviting any employee of the client to consider alternative employment.
